Manchester United have once again been linked with a move for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in the summer, according to reports.

Uncertainty is growing at Old Trafford amid poor performances under interim boss Ralf Rangnick and it’s been reported there are as many as 11 first-team players keen to leave.

talkSPORT understands a central midfielder is the priority for the summer and that the club will not make any purchases in the January window.

West Ham United vice-captain Declan Rice is also a reported target, with the 22-year-old continuing to impress as the Hammers seek an unlikely Champions League place.

Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves is also understood to be in contention, likely helped by a spectacular showing in the 1-0 win at Old Trafford, although Milinkovic-Savic is also under consideration.

According to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, Juventus are also keen on the 27-year-old Serbia international, but have reportedly been put off by the €70million (approximately £58.5m) valuation.

Given that David Moyes and West Ham consistently stressed Rice will not be allowed to leave for less than £100m, Milinkovic-Savic would represent a far cheaper option.

The Serbia international has seven goals and seven assists in Serie A this season and was previously linked with United before the World Cup in 2018.

However, a move never materialised and Jose Mourinho decided to move for Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk for £47m.
