Eddie Hearn has said he would ‘love’ to promote a fight between Jake Paul and Tony Bellew after seeing the former world champion’s comments about the YouTuber-turned-boxer this week.
In truth, the bout seems highly unrealistic to take place any time soon, though the ‘Bomber’s’ recent remarks have been amusing.

Heading into 2022, Jake posted his list of goals for the New Year.
He included: “Go to chiropractor to heal back from carrying the sport of boxing.”
As usual, the self-proclaimed troll would have been hoping to provoke some irritated replies from boxing fans with his tweet.
However, he likely didn’t expect the former WBC cruiserweight world champion to pop up in his notifications.
Bellew responded: “You couldn’t carry the jockstrap of a proper BOXER son. Please rephrase point 4!”

Bellew explained his reply on the DAZN Boxing Show: “First of all, I’ve got no hate or malice towards Jake Paul, crack on, do what you’re doing, it’s great.
“But in no way shape or form can you claim to carry my sport you absolute f***ing muppet, he hasn’t even fought a boxer yet.
“So how can you claim to be carrying my sport when you haven’t fought someone who comes from my sport? It’s unbelievable…
“I don’t wanna face him. I mean, I’ve spanked his trainer [BJ Flores].
“So he’s never gonna call my name and I wouldn’t even entertain him if he did.
“He wouldn’t say my name because he knows. He wouldn’t and he couldn’t because I would take his chin off his face.”

Having seen these comments, Bellew’s old promoter Hearn told DAZN: “I’d love to promote it.
“Anytime you can promote a fight where you can see Jake Paul get chinned would be exciting.
“Jake Paul just rubs everyone up the wrong way, but I do like what he’s doing.
“People who’ve given so much to boxing, physically, emotionally and mentally, will find what he’s said insulting.
“I just laugh, but for someone like Tony, who’s dedicated his life to the sport, it doesn’t sit well with those guys.
“Hopefully, they can bump into each other, and we can see what happens.”
