Majors Offered by the Volgenau School of Engineering
There are seven Bachelor of Science (BS) offered by Volgenau. Each of these programs are uniquely designed to match students’ areas of interest. The major programs are:
Bioengineering (BS) – Students develop new treatments for burn victims through the use of pharmaceutical nanofilm. Additionally, students will learn about and utilize sensor-equipped prostheses that help amputees regain mobility.
Civil and Infrastructure Engineering (BS) – Students will get to implement a drinking water system for a remote village and gain an understanding of the future of civilization and industry as it relies upon the products of this field of expertise.
Computer Engineering (BS) – Focuses on a blend of electrical engineering and computer science.
Cyber Security Engineering (BS) – Students will attain knowledge on modern technology and the flow of information that exists in everyday life.
Electrical Engineering (BS) – A major field of modern technology, electrical engineering is a research-heavy field. In this program, students will learn how to develop, design, produce and operate a variety of devices and systems.
Mechanical Engineering (BS) – Concentrates on the development of modern machinery.
Systems Engineering (BS) – Prepares students for a professional career in systems engineering through interdisciplinary coursework.
