VIEWS

The International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week 2022 will take place from 23-29 October 2022. The week of action aims to draw attention to the health impacts of lead exposure, highlight efforts by countries and partners to prevent childhood lead exposure, and accelerate efforts to phase out the use of lead in paint.

In its 10th edition, the Week is an initiative of the Global Alliance to Eliminate Lead Paint (Lead Paint Alliance), which is jointly led by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and World Health Organization (WHO). It takes place annually in October.
