Hull’s Boxing Day clash at home to Blackburn left home and away fans unhappy when it was called off just over TWO HOURS before kick-off.
The Championship clash at the MKM Stadium will be played on a different date after a bout of COVID in the Hull camp meant they were unable to field enough players.

The match was due for a 3pm kick-off but confirmation that the match was off wasn’t put out to fans until 12:56pm, as many of them headed to the stadium.
Many matches in England have suffered amid the spread of the Omicron variant with some being called off a matter of hours before starting.
And this doesn’t sit right with talkSPORT’s Courtney Sweetman-Kirk, who says the fans deserve better.
Sweetman-Kirk, who plays for Sheffield United Women’s team, added that the best way forward is a return to more regular PCR tests across all clubs in England.
The announcement was far too late for this Blackburn fan
And these ones who were on a coach heading for Hull
It seems Blackburn weren’t given much notice either
And Rovers midfielder Bradley Dack made it clear what he felt of Hull for the late postponement
She said on GameDay Live: “To look at it from my perspective and how the protocols have changed slightly from last year where it was PCRs 2-3 times a week.
“Now it’s 2-3 lateral flows and if it’s positive then you get a PCR but then you’ve got that time frame where you have to get the result back.
“I think the process is quite convoluted and I think that’s maybe something that needs to change. Do we go back to PCRs twice a week to make sure we’re not having these late postponements for the sake of the players, managers but most of all the fans making those big trips?
“It’s the day that they look forward to all week and to potentially get there or go halfway down the motorway and find out the game has been called off at short notice doesn’t sit right with me.
“That definitely needs to change. What we can control in football are the protocols around it and that definitely needs to be looked at going forward.”
