WSL fans witnessed arguably the shock of the season at the weekend, as bottom of the table Birmingham City celebrated a 2-0 home victory over league leaders Arsenal, ending the London team’s unbeaten start.

The West Midlands side joined an elite group, alongside Chelsea and Barcelona, the Blues are one of the few sides to keep Arsenal goalless this season.

After a difficult campaign, it’s given the team a much needed morale boost.

The victory was their first win in 26 league games, and although they face a tough road ahead to avoid relegation, Birmingham’s captain and former Arsenal player Louise Quinn hopes that this game will act as a catalyst for her team.

The defender spoke to talkSPORT EDGE about the significance of this win, which players stood out for her in the game and she also sends a special message to Birmingham City fans.
