Romanian tennis star Simona Halep acquired the four-star Drachenhaus Hotel in resort town Poiana Brasov in 2017 and she is ready to invest another EUR 500,000 in the property to add another storey, according to bizbrasov.ro, cited by Mediafax.

The hotel currently has 24 rooms, an apartment, a sauna, a restaurant, and a bar. According to the source, over 20,000 tourists have stayed there so far and it has a good rating on booking websites.

Clients who had booked rooms beyond April 1 have been transferred to the hotel’s other two units in Brasov.

Halep paid EUR 2 million for the Poiana Brasov hotel and she has also invested in a new unit in seaside resort Mamaia, which is currently under construction. She also owns an apartment building with 22 flats and a penthouse.
