Elfi, one of the most important producers of hygienic tissue paper in Romania, registered in the first half of 2021 a turnover of approximately 3 million euros, 20% higher compared to the same period of 2020, and plans to invest in a new production line.

The year 2020 brought the company Elfi a turnover of 5 million euros, which increases annually by 10%-20%. 2020 was also a very important year for the producer, being marked by the investment in a new procurement project worth over 5 million euros. The objective of investing in new production technologies materialized through the acquisition of high-performance industrial equipment, which would allow both the qualitative and the quantitative increase of the production.

“The pandemic was a real challenge for us, but we mobilized quickly and tried to turn it into an opportunity. In this context, the demand increased a lot, so it was necessary to supplement the cargo stocks and work at full capacity. The fact that we have focused on investing in state-of-the-art technology and equipment has allowed us to move forward, regardless of the context in which we operate and to be able to increase our customer portfolio.” – said Adrian Constantin, Elfi’s General Manager.

Due to the constant investments made, today, the Elfi company has a faster and higher quality production, significantly increasing its portfolio. If in 2003, when it was established, it started the activity with a small production line, today the company produces the entire range of toilet paper, from standard to premium products of the highest quality, as well as a wide range of paper towels of different sizes and packed in various ways. “The strategy for the period 2021-2024 focuses on consolidating and developing the internal market, but at the same time, we aim to acquire a new production line.” – added Adrian Constantin, Elfi’s General Manager.

Following the latest events related to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, the profile market, like the rest, was affected by rising commodity prices and more. It is still dominated by imported products, to which the population has access through large retailers (chain stores, supermarkets), but due to the context, local products have taken shape, but due to the context, local products have also taken shape, which are becoming more and more important on the local market.

Established in 2003, Elfi Company is one of the largest producers and distributors of hygienic tissue paper in Romania.
