The UN General Assembly set out the modalities for the international meeting titled ‘Stockholm+50: a healthy planet for the prosperity of all – our responsibility, our opportunity,’ which is scheduled to convene from 2-3 June 2022 in Stockholm, Sweden. That resolution (A/RES/75/326 of September 2021) mandates the UNGA President to convene a one-day preparatory meeting to prepare for the leadership dialogues and other aspects of Stockholm+50. The governments of Kenya and Sweden will serve as co-hosts of the international meeting and will be co-chairs of the preparatory meeting.

UNGA President Abdulla Shahid announced the date for the meeting in December 2021.
