Sergio Aguero pokes fun at Alejandro Garnacho after Manchester United youngster is given match ball by Cristiano Ronaldo

Sergio Aguero could not resist making a joke at Alejandro Garnacho’s expense after he shared a heart-warming moment with Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 17-year-old uploaded a photo of himself and CR7 on Instagram, after he was given the match ball awarded to the Portuguese icon for his hat-trick against Norwich.

The last few days for Garnacho has been a whirlwind experience, but he probably wouldn’t have appreciated Aguero’s commentGetty

For the first time in his senior Red Devils career, the Argentine was named on the substitutes bench in the club’s match against the Canaries.

And he was able to witness an excellent display from one of the greatest players in history as Ronaldo produced a treble to help his side win 3-2.

It was a crucial win for Ralf Rangnick’s men as they closed the gap to within three points of fourth-placed Tottenham in the race for Champions League qualification.

At the final whistle, the number seven claimed the match ball for the 60th time in his career.

But in a touching moment, the 37-year-old then opted to gift Garnacho the ball.

Garnacho then took to Instagram to thank Ronaldo and captioned the post: “Greatest of all times… Dream big, guys”.

Ronaldo was also appreciative of the Argentine’s words and sent a fist-bump emoji in the comments section of the post.

Whilst most of the gestures were of a positive nature, countryman Aguero, hilariously, opted to give a different view.

His message said: “Porque todavía no jugaste con el mejor pa @leomessi”. Which translates to: “Because you haven’t played with the best yet @leomessi.”

Garnacho was named in Argentina’s senior squad in March alongside Lionel Messi.

The Spanish born player was called up for the World Cup matches against Venezuela and Ecuador but did not play in either contest.

Having been alongside two of the greatest players in history, the future certainly looks bright for Garnacho, and it was words his club manager, Rangnick, echoed.

“He is only 17, but if he keeps his feet on the ground, he will not only be sitting on the bench but will be playing for this club,” the interim boss said after the game against Norwich.
