Tyson Fury has weighed in 12.2lbs lighter for his fight with Dillian Whyte tomorrow night than he did for his trilogy bout against Deontay Wilder.

The Gypsy King and Body Snatcher shared a respectful final face-off at Friday’s weigh-in for their fight which will be live on talkSPORT, laughing and joking one another as they made light of the height difference between them.

Whyte took to the scales first and came in at 18st 1lbs 4oz (253.25lbs).

This is 6lbs heavier than for his last fight against Alexander Povetkin in March 2021, where he weighed 17st 9lbs 3oz (247.2lbs).

Fury followed up and weighed 18st 12lbs 13oz (264.8lbs).

Interestingly, this is 12.2lbs lighter than he was in his trilogy bout with Wilder, where he was 19st 11lbs (277lbs).

The heavyweights then met for a face-off which descended into a slapstick comedy show.

The height difference was clear to seeGetty

Whyte emphasised it by crouching after Fury went on his tiptoesGetty

As they first approached one another, the height difference between them was visible.

Fury went on his tiptoes to emphasise the point and Whyte played along by crouching down.

The pair then joked around and tickled one another.

They concluded the respectful affair by shaking hands and exchanging hats.

Whyte reacted by telling BT about the increase in his weight: “Nothing. Some fights are different.

“Some fights we train differently.

“I’m fighting a bigger guy, a much more heavier guy than me so I wanted to be a bit more. I’ve fought at 250lbs before.”

talkSPORT will bring you live coverage of the huge heavyweight world title fight between Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte at Wembley on Saturday night, with our coverage starting from 7.30pm and featuring expert ringside analysis from Ben Davison
