World Class acquires Stay Fit Gym Oltenitei in Bucharest

World Class took over Stay Fit Gym Oltenitei, part of a local fitness network owning 4 clubs in Bucharest, and reached 36 health&fitness clubs,  32 of them beeing active.

The Stay Fit Oltenitei Gym club, situated on 4A Olteniței Avenue, near the subway station Eroii Revolutiei, will become World Class Eroii Revoluției, the 32nd World Class club in the country and the 25th in Bucharest.

Only 7.5 percent of Romanians exercise at least two and a half hours a week , according to Eurostat data and this percentage places Romania on the last place in Europe, in a top dominated by the Nordic countries (Finland comes first with 53 percent).

The new World Class club was be inaugurated on September 28 and will be included in the Bronze category. World Class Romania has almost 60.000 members and it is owned by Resource Partners, CEE private equity fund, supported by several institutional investors. The fund focuses on investments projects in Romania, Poland and other EU countries in Eastern Europe.
